Eh, I’m not sure his age has much to do with anything. Replay the situation with the man being 9 years older, and the advice would be pretty much the <a href="https://magic.ly/insmaifensi">INS买粉</a> same. It’s clear this woman is a bit infatuated…and the guy probably is too. But it’s kind of a shitty position to be in, because they’re emotionally tied up in one another, which does not leave them genuinely open to meeting someone who *does* want a real relationship (like all those others they’ve been dating too). I’ve been that person…and I’ve dated that person. And it sucks all around.

I don’t think he’s emotionally tied to her at all. Everybody is assuming that the man’s actions that the OP describes stem from his feelings for her. More likely they stem from his ego. He wants to be a priority, he wants attention, etc. If he really cared about her, he’d make things legitimate. He hasn’t asked her not to date anyone else.
